A pit-type weighbridge is installed in a pit. This design allows the weighbridge platform to be level with the surrounding ground, enabling vehicles to drive directly onto the scale. It is ideal for high-traffic areas and industries requiring frequent, heavy-duty weighing but have less space.

  • Foundation : Built into a pit that is excavated to house the weighbridge components, including the load cells and platform.
  • Load Cells : Embedded in the pit to measure the weight of vehicles and transmit the data to the indicator.
  • Platform : The weighbridge surface is level with the ground, allowing for smooth vehicle entry and exit.
  • Ramps : No ramps are required as vehicles can easily drive on and off the weighbridge.

    4. Platform Sizes
  • 4-6 Tire Vehicles : 6-10 meters (20-33 feet) long and 3 meters (10 feet) wide.
  • 12-16 Tire Vehicles : 10-15 meters (33-50 feet) long and 3 meters (10 feet) wide.
  • Trailers: Up to 18 meters (60 feet) long and 3 meters (10 feet) or more wide, depending on trailer size.
